Alice Vivian "Cookie" Hatcher

Alice Vivian "Cookie" Hatcher, age 82 of McEwen, TN passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. She was born on April 19,1942 in McEwen, TN, to the late Ruth Ellen Parker Hatcher and Dorsey Anderson Hatcher. Cookie was a devoted and faithful member at Immanuel Baptist Church in McEwen. Throughout her years, Cookie was known for her warm heart and generous spirit. Her affectionate nickname, "Cookie", reflected the warmth and sweetness she brought into the lives of family and friends. Cookie will be remembered as a loving mother, grandma, sister, aunt and friend.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Herman Bruce Latimer, and daughter-in-law, Amanda of Burns, TN; 2 grandchildren, Joshua Caleb Latimer and Hannah Claire Latimer; brothers, Eddie Hatcher (Dolene) of McEwen, TN and Butch Hatcher (Brenda) of Paris, TN; and sister-in-laws,Barbara Hatcher and Donna Hatcher. 

Along with her parents, Cookie is preceded in death by her brothers, Clifford Hatcher, John Hatcher, James Hatcher, and Robert Hatcher; sisters, Sarah Kemp and Virginia Donegan; half sisters, Bethel Proffitt, Ruby Jane Tinnell and Polly Binkley.

A visitation will be held at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen, on Tuesday, September 24,2024, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 12:00 P.M. with Rev. David Deavers officiating. Interment to follow at Curtis Chapel Cemetery.
