Alice was born on March 20, 1952, in Evansville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Phillip Ray and Shirley Isabelle (Johnson) Jorgensen and she graduated from Evansville High School in 1970. Alice lived most of her life in Janesville, Wisconsin before moving to Beloit so she could be closer to her granddaughter.
Alice was employed as a CNA with Visiting Nurses Association for over twenty years. Later she was employed at Mercy Hospital, The Wright Home Assisted Living, and Kentucky Fried Chicken. Alice loved going to church was a longtime member of Christ The Rock Church in Janesville where she enjoyed attending Bible study classes.
Alice spent as much time as she could with her granddaughter, Alayna who was the light of her life. The two of them would often spend time at various parks in and around Janesville and Beloit or just do silly things together, Alice hardly ever missed one of Alayna's event, school functions or bowling tournaments. Alice will be remembered for her kind heart and helping anyone and everyone she could.
Alice is survived by son, Brock (Jen Vonesh) Jorgensen;, granddaughter, Alayna; sister, Phylis Germain; brother, Tom Jorgensen; nephew, Jesse Jorgensen; niece, Vicki Farnsworth; like granddaughters, Gracie, and Aly; and like a grandson, Emmett. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Shirley Jorgensen; sisters, Judith VanDusen, and Diane Jorgensen; and a nephew, Jeremy Jorgensen.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Christ The Rock Church, 2232 Hermitage Lane, Janesville, Wisconsin 53546 with Pastor Michael E. Dissmore officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Hansen-Gravitt Funeral Home, 424 Prospect Street, Beloit, Wisconsin 53511 is assisting the family.
