Alice King Obituary

Alice Evonne King, 67, of Washington, passed away on April 10, 2022 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital of Washington, NC
She was born on January 20, 1955, to the late Thomas Cobb and Doris Gibbs in Washington, NC. She was a very happy and sweet woman with an amazing sense of humor. She loved to make everyone laugh and was highly protective of her family who she loved fiercely. Alice would always stop, even for just a moment, to say "I love you." When those words were said you knew she meant it. She enjoyed playing card games and her favorite card game was spades. Anytime someone went to the store, she would always ask for a cake and a soda.
Alice is survived by her, Three Daughters, Alicia Gibbs, Latisha Gibbs and Gail Gibbs (Thairbie Godley); Son and daughter in law, Teriell and Gena Gibbs; two brothers, Thomas and Renwick Gibbs; two sisters, Debra (Isaac) Blount, and Painsey Gibbs; ten granddaughters, Quintessa Gibbs, Niquanza Gibbs, Eva Whitaker, Emoni Gibbs, Keallayha Gibbs, Eniequa Peele, Teyonah Whitaker, Dormetria McCuller, Christine Godley, Trinity Gibbs; seven grandsons, Charles Whitaker, Donquest Peele, Deveon Whitaker, Thairbie Godley, Jr., Quincey Gibbs, Ezekiel Gibbs, and Caleb Gibbs; 22 great grandchildren and a plethora of nieces and nephews who will all miss her presence greatly.
Along with her parents, Alice was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kendra Gibbs.
