Flanner Buchanan - Floral ParkAlice Lou Lalioff, age 92, of Carmel, Indiana, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Indianapolis to Laurence and A. Esther (Jones) Cook, Alice grew into a woman whose warmth, humor, and unwavering devotion shaped the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was a beloved mother of three and the proud grandmother of seven, each of whom felt the depth of her love in countless thoughtful, everyday moments.
Alice had a zest for life that radiated through her positive spirit and wonderful sense of humor. She cherished time with her family and had a special way of bringing everyone together—whether for holidays, simple gatherings, or the small traditions that grew into treasured memories. She had a gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and deeply loved.
Some of Alice’s happiest moments were spent with her grandchildren. She delighted in taking them to the zoo, cheering from the sidelines at their sporting events, watching parades, setting off on early morning tandem bike rides, traveling together, and attending local concerts. Her presence made every experience feel a little brighter and more fun.
Alice graduated from Howe High School in Indianapolis and went on to earn her master’s degree in teaching from Purdue University. She dedicated 18 years to the IPS school system, touching countless young lives with her patience, kindness, and belief in their potential.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Boris M. Lalioff; her brother, Larry Cook; her sister, Mary Reinhardt; and her parents. She is survived by her children Christine (Dean) Regenovich, Michael (Sandra) Lalioff, and Michelle (Thomas) Wozniak; and by her grandchildren Ashley, Dylan, Lauren, Jordan, Megan, Gregory, and Zoe—each of whom adored her.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 12:30pm at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park, followed by burial at Floral Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Good Samaritan Network (www.gsnlive.org), honoring Alice’s lifelong spirit of giving.
Her legacy lives on in her children and grandchildren, in the traditions she nurtured and the joys she passed down: her passion for planning family adventures, her playful spoiling of grand-dogs, her competitive streak, her fondness for sweets, her love of music and laughter, her deep connection to the beach and the ocean, and her enduring love for all things Disney.
Alice will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by all whose lives she touched.
