Allan Wayne Dowdy

Allan Wayne Dowdy, age 68, of Ratcliff passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025 in Spring. Allan was born April 23, 1957 in Houston to parents, James Edward Dowdy and Lorraine Ruth Sparrow Dowdy. He attended North Shore High School. He began working at Budweiser in 1992. Allan was part of the Houston BBQ cook-off team, the Smokin Eagles, for nearly 25 years and of the San Antonio Jeep Club for over 30 years. He loved hunting, dogs, spending time in Ratcliff, and traveling, especially to his favorite place, Colorado.
Allan is survived by daughter, Kindra May Ellis and husband, Eric of Houston; wife, Terry Priest of Spring; grandchildren, Foster and Reece Ellis of Houston; Terry's daughter, Allison Leonard of Spring; brother, Gary Dowdy and wife, Joan of Encampment, Wyoming; special pup, Booger; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by parents, Jim Ed and Lorraine Dowdy; daughter, Dawana Dowdy.
Funeral services for Allan Wayne Dowdy will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Pastor Leon Wallace officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. prior to the service at Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
