Allan Filibeck, 78
Allan Filibeck, 78 of Ashland passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024 in his home with his loving family by his side.
He was born on October 24, 1945 in Bismarck, North Dakota, the son of the late Martin and Marie (nee Fischer) Filibeck.
Allan graduated from Ashland High School, Class of 1963.
He married the love of his life, the former, Vicki L. Levers on April 13, 1962.
Allan retired after more than 40 years of employment. Throughout his life, he worked at Buckeye Heating & Cooling in Ashland for many years and Universal Heating & Cooling. He retired in 2011 from Ball Bounce and Sport in Ashland.
He was a devoted member of St. Edward Catholic Church. During his life he loved to spend his time making repairs and fixing things around the house, but most of all spending time with his family. He was also a member of the Eagles Aerie #2178.
Allan is survived by two daughters, Lori A. (Chris) Kirk of Ashland and Nicole M. (Erik) Schreck of Union, Kentucky; one son, Michael A. Filibeck of Ashland; nine grandchildren, James Koch of West Salem, Lora (Jon Miller) Koch of Ashland; Vikki (Doug) Ransom of Mansfield, Melissa (Kevin) Jones of Mansfield, Chloe Schreck of Union, Kentucky, Madison Schreck of Union, Kentucky, Tiffany Leiter of Ashland, Amber Anderson of Ashland, and Jeremy Leiter of Ashland; numerous great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and four sisters, Barbara Filibeck of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Nancy (Larry) Pelkey of Portage, Michigan, Shirley Carnahan of Lake Worth, Florida, and Margaret Wilson of Brooksville, Florida.
In addition to his parents, Allan is preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years of marriage, Vicki Filibeck who passed away on February 1, 2014; one daughter, Kimberly Lynn Eller who passed away on March 5, 2022; and a brother, Tery Filibeck.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Edward Catholic Church with Father Rod Kreidler presiding. Interment will follow in the Ashland County Memorial Park. Friends may call Wednesday, January 3, 2024 in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Edward Catholic Church, 501 Cottage Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
