Allan Gluth Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home on Jan. 3, 2026.
Allan A. Gluth, 92 of Wisconsin Dells, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026.
Allan was born on December 9, 1933, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Acelin and Helen (Ryback) Gluth. He grew up in the Milwaukee area, graduating from Solomon Juneau High School in Milwaukee, and continued his education at UW-Milwaukee studying Transportation & Traffic Management. Al, as he was known by his coworkers and employees, worked for many years in the trucking industry. He ran multiple trucking terminals, opening one in Tomah, and retired from USF Holland, Inc. in the 1990's. He was a talented businessman, who treated his employees sternly, but respectfully. In his younger years, he enjoyed the outdoors – spending time in the woods and fields hunting or on area bodies of water fishing. He was an avid snowmobiler, water skier and enjoyed working on antique boats, including his vintage Chris Craft and Correct Craft boats. He enjoyed playing golf and racquetball as well. He was also a longtime member of area gun clubs. He owned a number of horses, owning 6 at one time, spending time riding and boarding the animals. He was an active man with many interests; his family is thankful for his good example and long, fulfilling life.
He is survived by: his children Earl Gluth, Alan Gluth, and Kari Jill Gluth; grandchildren Austin, Connor and Nicole. Allan is also survived by a number of other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Carol and Bobby.
As per Allan's wishes, his life will be celebrated over drinks and dinner in the near future.
