On July 27th, Allan went to be with his beloved wife Diana Peterson in heaven. Allan and Diana were married for 50 years and had 2 children, Bruce and Ethel.
Allan was born in New Rochelle, New York to his most dear parents, Richard and Mildred Peterson, and would become a longtime resident of Connecticut. He proudly served in the US Army at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico in the 1960’s where he met Diana in Socorro, New Mexico and soon married her before moving back to Connecticut. Allan worked his entire career until retirement in the Chemical Industry in Connecticut. He had a passion for Classic Cars and Classic Western movies and television series. He relocated to New Mexico in 2014 to live with his son Bruce in Los Lunas, New Mexico where he lived and enjoyed each day watching Western films and caring for his dog buddies Schultz and Piggly Wiggly until his passing.
He is predeceased by his sister Gloria Buzgo of Connecticut. He is survived by son Bruce Peterson in New Mexico and daughter Ethel Peterson in Connecticut, sisters Nancye Pulaski in Connecticut and Judith Wood in Washington, three granddaughters and great grandchildren.
A private memorial service with military honors will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in August 2025, where Allan will be entombed with his wife Diana.
