Born on May 25, 1940, in Tajique, New Mexico, Polidor dedicated 25 years of his life to crisscrossing the United States as a truck driver, a job that reflected his love for travel and adventure.
Polidor was not only known for his hard work but also his passion for restoring cars. His love for working on vehicles was matched by his enjoyment of gardening, where he took pride in cultivating a variety of vegetables. An avid outdoorsman, Polidor relished camping trips with family and friends, creating lasting memories.
Polidor was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his daughters, Lita Diaz, Pauline Scanland, and Judy Chavez; sons, Jeff Chavez and his wife, Melissa, and John Chavez; as well as 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sister, Josie Romero. Polidor was preceded in death by his wife, Dora; parents, Juan and Beatrice Chavez; siblings, Isabel, Lucia, Jesse, Maggie, Alberto, Demetro, and Victor; grandchildren, Marissa and Dominic; and pets, Pepper and Taco.
Polidor's life was marked by his love and strong bonds he shared with his extensive family. His funeral service will include his grandchildren Christopher, Paul (Abe), Isaac, Jeffrey, Cassandra, and great-grandsons Joaquin and Isaac as pallbearers, while his nephews Johnny and Patrick will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Polidor's legacy will be remembered through his love for his family, his passion for his hobbies and through the joy he brought to those around him. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
