Manuel Chavez Jr., age 79, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on August 15, 2025. Manuel is survived by his wife, Antonia Chavez; children, Diane Chavez, Tony Chavez, Kenneth Chavez, Pamela Chavez and partner, Robert Trujillo; special nephew whom he considered his brother, Jerry Chavez Jr.; grandchildren, Suzette Baca, Christopher Marquez, Alan Baca, Danielle Chavez, Aubri Chavez, Gabriel Arguelles, Avrey Chavez, Marissa Chavez, Jonah Chavez; great-grandchildren; Isaiah Quintana, Melanie Zamora, Arlo Zamora, Elijah Quintana, Josiah Chavez, Jayden Andujo, CJ Marquez, Hailey Maiorano, Bo Marquez, Collin Maiorano, Kason Maiorano, Alan Baca Jr.; great-great-grandson, Azaiah Quintana; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Chavez Sr. and mother, Refugia Chavez, two brothers, Fred Chavez and Jerry Chavez Sr. Visitation for Mr. Chavez will be held in The Gabaldon Memorial Chapel on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church 562 Atrisco Dr. SW on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. with Mass of the Resurrection at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow the Mass at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery 2957 Arenal Rd. SW.
