Tomas Munoz Chavez Jr., 70, of Pecos, Tx. passed away at his residence on Friday, December 22, 2023. He went to school in Pecos, Tx, Tomas married Eva L. Chavez on September 13, 1972 in Pecos, Tx. He worked for Dawson as a Geographical Surveyor and as a Operator for Anchor West for many years. He was a family taught all around handy man.
Tomas Munoz Chavez Jr. is preceded in death by his father Thomas Chavez Sr., mother Alicia M. Chavez, brothers Enrique Martinez, Jose Martinez, Hector Chavez, all of Pecos, Tx., and son in law Daniel Ibarra of McCamey, Tx.
Tomas Munoz Chavez is survived by his spouse; Eva Chavez, daughters; Elva Ibarra, Elsa Chavez, Leticia "Letty" (Robert) Jimenez, son; Rodolfo Chavez of Pecos, sister; Lupe Baca of Pecos, brothers; Sammy Chavez of Odessa, Tx., David Chavez of California, Ernesto Martinez of Pecos, Tx. Grandchildren; Angel Chavez, Jacob Chavez, Andrea Chavez, Myra Chavez, Albert Perez Jr., Desiree Ibarra, Daniel Ibarra Jr., Great Grandchildren; Victor Vigil, Jesus Chavez, Jacob Chavez Jr., Levi Valle, Violet Valle, Josiah Soto and Aubry Chavez Rios.
Pallbearers; Angel Chavez, Albert Perez Jr., Sammy Chavez, David Chavez, Enrique Chavez, Robert Jimenez, Julian Alvarez and Larry Gonzalez.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024 from 9 am to 9 pm at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home, and Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 9 am to 9 pm.
Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 10 am to 11 am at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
The family of Tomas wishes to extend our most sincere thanks to all family and friends for the donations, prayers, thoughts and condolences, Dr. Serrano and the Angel Care Staff for the care and support they provided.
