Age 91 of Wilmington, Illinois and formerly of Chicago, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, October 22, 2025 surrounded by family at his home.
Born February 24, 1934 in Chicago, Allan was the son of Anton and Zdenka Vrdsky. He graduated from Gage Park High School in Chicago in 1952 and continued on for two years of college. Allan pursued a career in tool and die design where over the years became chief engineer at Daystar Manufacturing from where he retired in 1996. Early in his career he entered into the United States Army in December 1956 and served until his honorable discharge in November of 1962. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers for 54 years.
In 1997 Allan met his new neighbor Nancy and over time they became close friends until he later decided to make “the girl next door his wife”, and they were married on November 12, 2002. Allan was a loving husband, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many. He was someone you could always count on. Allan was loved and cherished by many and will be greatly missed but always loved and remembered. May he rest in peace until we meet again.
