EAST BRUNSWICK- It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of ALLEN KULEK on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was 83 years old.
Born in Brooklyn, NY to Ben and Hilda (née Schiller) Kulek, he resided in Brooklyn before settling down in East Brunswick with his wife 54 years ago.
Prior to retiring in 2004, he was a Fashion Executive in New York, NY, where he worked for 45 years. He also started his own private-label company, Carib Domestic, and got to travel to many countries for business.
He was a U.S. Army National Guard Veteran having served as Sergeant in the Rainbow Division during the Vietnam War.
He rooted for the 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers, and loved playing tennis, softball, and going bowling. He also loved smoking fine cigars and driving Cadillac cars.
Allen was pre deceased by his parents; his brother, Sidney Kulek; his sister-in-law, Fran Kulek, and his brother-in-law, Jules Litt.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Lenore Kulek (née Weinstein) of East Brunswick; his daughters, Jodi Mayer and her husband, Jeff, of Scotch Plains, Bonnie Brill and her husband, Barry, of East Brunswick; his sister, Marilyn Litt of Florida and Long Island, NY; and his grandchildren, Ben and Max.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 11:30 am -1:30 pm, at MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, where a memorial service will held at 12:00 pm. For directions, please see "Events" listed below.
