October 15, 1928 - April 13, 2023
Alley Broussard, Sr., 94, was called to glory on Wednesday, April 13, 2023. He was the fourth child born to Olivia & Hubert Broussard in Bellevue, LA. Alley was a loving Husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great, great grandfather, and a friend to so many.
He was a lifelong resident of Lafayette, LA who made his living as a well-known entrepreneur selling fresh produce all over South Louisiana. Alley enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger days. In his later days, he enjoyed sitting outside in his rocker dozing off in the sun!
Left to cherish his memories are his sister: Rosa Bell Thibodeaux of Lafayette, LA, Patricia Eugene of Houston, TX, Elroy Broussard (Cheryl) of Lafayette, LA, Odelia Franklin (Henry) of Mire, LA, Felton Broussard (Rebecca) of Lafayette, LA, Albert Broussard, Sr. (Nelda) of Lafayette, LA, John Broussard of Lafayette, LA, James Broussard (Frankie) of Lafayette, LA, Mary Charles of Mire, LA, Brenda Porter (Tony) of Peoria, IL; thirty-six grand kids, eighty-three great grandkids, eleven great, great grandkids, godchildren Rosa Mary Alfred, Randrick'A Alfred, Rene Guidry and David Thibodeaux & a host of nieces and nephews. Special recognition to Andrea Broussard-Brock, taken under the wing of Rose Lee and Alley, raised as their own.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Rose Lee Carter-Broussard, two sons: Hubert Broussard and Alley Broussard, Jr., two great grandsons: Brenzelle Mouton and Brighton H. Franklin, three sisters: Agnes Julien, Ruby Carter, & Mildred Broussard, two brothers: Whitney Sam & Furnest Broussard.
