Amber Joy Obituary

Amber Joy, 40, of Oneonta and formerly of Morris, passed away unexpectedly as a result of a pedestrian and automobile accident on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. Amber was born on June 25, 1984, in Oneonta, the daughter of James and Jamie (Wilcox) Joy.
Amber was a home health aide for RCIL. She enjoyed going to the Demo Derby's and hunting turkey with her father and brother. She enjoyed playing soccer for Morris Central School and was a member of 4H and Girl Scouts. She also had a passion for reading. Amber was a kind-hearted, joyful person that was a friend to everyone.
Amber is survived by her mother, Jamie; daughters, Madison Lewis and Zandra Aliya; son, Travon Storm; brother, Andrew (Melinda) Joy; grandmother, Kitty Wilcox, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her baby, Trance Rage; father, James Joy; Grandparents, Fay Wilcox, Jerry and Eva Joy.
Family and friends are invited to Celebrate her Life on August 3, 2024, at the Morris VFW Post 1417, 314 Ellis Rd., Morris, NY 13808 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm. Service will be at 1:00pm followed by a luncheon.
Donations in memory of Amber can be made out to Otsego County Mental Health, 242 Main Street Oneonta, NY 13820.
