Amy Kelley Dougherty, age 66, of Nottingham, PA, formerly of Wilmington, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024.
Amy was born in Wilmington, daughter of the late Janet (Rogers) and Clyde Kelley. Amy graduated from Thomas McKean high school, class of 1976. Amy went on to become an x-ray technician for a few years before becoming a homemaker to raise her young family. In her free time, Amy enjoyed listening to new wave music. Amy's family meant a lot to her, cherishing every moment she spent with them, and always looking forward to the annual camping trip in Cape Henlopen, DE with her husband and kids. In addition to her parents, Amy was predeceased by her brother, Tim Kelley.
Amy is survived by her husband of 33 years, John "Jack" P. Dougherty III; daughter, Colleen Dougherty; son, John "Jack" P. Dougherty IV, and his wife, Emily; brothers, Scott and Brian Kelley; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close family friends whom she all loved.
A visitation for Amy will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808, where friends and family may call from 3 to 4pm, with a celebration of life following at 4pm. Burial will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Amy's name to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023 (Diabetes.org)
