Amy Milor (née Rhine) died on July 5th, 2024. She was 63 years old. Amy, daughter of Ronald Rhine and the late Daphne Rhine, passed away peacefully in her childhood home in College Park, Maryland.
She was born in Columbus, Georgia on July 8,1960 and lived much of her life in College Park, Maryland and Charlottesville, Virginia. She is a graduate of Northwestern High School and the University of Maryland. Amy recently retired from Charlottesville City Public Schools where she worked for many years as an instructional aide in kindergarten and first grade classrooms. She loved many animals over the years, including dogs and cats she adopted. Her co-workers, neighbors, friends, and family knew her as a generous spirit who saw opportunities to give and would gladly take time to listen.
She is survived by her children Danny, of Lexington, Kentucky, and Leanne, of Feasterville, Pennsylvania. They hold with them the spirit Amy instilled to love reading, learning, and serving others. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to the Greene County Animal Shelter of Virginia. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
