*Due to the possibility of severe weather the funeral service for Amy Dixon will be held at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service – Letchworth Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 18, 2023.*
Amy Jean Warren Dixon, of Scotland Neck, passed away at her residence on Friday, December 15, 2023.
She was born on March 11, 1943 to Arthur and Mary Warren. Amy was married to the late Tommy Dixon and they enjoyed sixty-three years of marriage. She was a member of Hope Free Will Baptist Church in Scotland Neck and was also a member of the Junior Order of Scotland Neck. She loved working in her yard, cooking, and helping other people. Amy loved her time with her friends and going to Claudine's in Rich Square.
Amy was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Warren; her father, Arthur Warren, Sr.; her daughter, Terry Lynn Dixon; her husband, Thomas "Tommy" Jeconiah Dixon; her sisters, Alice Scott and Annie Hyde; and her brothers, Arthur Warren, Jr., Bennie Warren, Ronnie Warren, and Harold Warren.
Amy is survived by her son, Tony Dixon and girlfriend Christy Anderson of Rocky Mount; her brother, Ray Warren of Tarboro; her granddaughter, Jessica Dixon and boyfriend Michael Cooke of Gaston; her grandson, Thomas Christopher Dixon and girlfriend Stephanie Pearson of Roanoke Rapids; two great-grandsons, Julian Johnston of Roanoke Rapids and Brendan Dixon of Roanoke Rapids; and her special friend, Claudia Dickens of Scotland Neck.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service – Letchworth Chapel in Scotland Neck. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Matthew Jones presiding.
