It was a pleasure knowing and working with Andre since 1995. He cared for people and spoke his mind. His biggest and proudest accomplishment was his daughter CeCe..He always talked about how he was so proud of her from the time she was in grade school breaking testing barriers to her accomplishments with her degrees. Andre believed in family first he always credited his older sister for raising him and instilling those values in him. As did his brothers Randy and Herman. They all stated she ruled by an iron fist expected the best from them and told them they could be anything they wanted to be...guess what they joined the military. The glorious and teary eyed part they all said about her love, her care and nuture that she provided was more of a mother than an older sister.
Everyone who knew Dre knew of his bragging rights to food. He was a GREAT cook and person who was pushed beyond his limits by the love of his life Pat. (Yall remember them tater pies him and Pat would sell the presentation they did was like a 5 star) Though he existed and walked through life it was evident to those who knew him well when Pat passed away a big part of Andre passed away. My soul is HAPPY and REJOICES knowing he is with the love of his life Pat. Be encouraged Family!!

My deepest condolences to the Redding Family. I was so saddened to just learn of Andre´s passing. I met Andre in 1995, we were co-workers in the HIMS and Enrollments for many years. I retired in 2004, but as a veteran myself, I always stop by to visit him. He´d always greet me with "What´s up "G", short for Geter. I last spoke with him just before he retired from the VA. My heart breaks for his heart beat Clarice.

I am so saddened by the news. Andre was my work dad at the West Palm Beach VA, always so encouraging and pushed me to continue on with my Master's. He said there was no time like today and he was right, a true leader. He will surely be missed.

Andre was definitely a true public servant. Each time I interacted with Andre -it was always positive and his customer service always exceeded my expectations.
I worked with his brothers, Herman and Randy and mourned their passing.
I pray that his family will find comfort in knowing that those of us who knew him-experienced the aforementioned description of Andre was.
