Andrew Jackson "Jack" Hundley

Andrew Jackson Jack Hundley, 92, of Burlington, NC went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at The Homeplace of Burlington following his declining health since October 2024.
Mr. Hundley was a native of Guilford County and the husband of 62 years to the late Mary Elizabeth Bailey Hundley. He was the son of Tony Morgan Hundley and Jennie Shumate Hundley, both deceased.
Jack retired from General Electric and later worked at the Honda Power Equipment in Quality Control. He enjoyed gardening, watching UNC basketball, playing softball, and playing horseshoes, golf, and croquet. He attended Friendly Hills Baptist Church in Hillsborough where he enjoyed playing gospel music with his guitar, singing, and witnessing. Jack always looked forward to visiting assisted living facilities with his daughter Penny where they sang and played music together.
Survivors include a daughter, Wanda Mitchell and husband Jon of Burlington; two sons-in-law, Tim Isley of Liberty and Jerry Flynn of Texas; daughter-in-law, Susan Hundley of Graham; sister-in-law, Mildred Clapp;and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, Stephen Douglas Hundley and Andrew J. Hundley, Jr.; two daughters, Penny Hundley Isley and Patricia Pat Hundley Flynn; step-mother, Margaret Hundley; three brothers; and three sisters.
The funeral service will be conducted Monday, May 19, 2025 at 12:00 noon at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington by Pastor Bobby Tate with the family receiving friends from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon prior to the service.
