Andrew Lucibello Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 17, 2021.
Andrew ""Andy"" Dominick Lucibello, age 64, passed away in Sihanoukville, Cambodia on May 17, 2021. Andy grew up in Fairview, New Jersey, the son of his beloved father, Antonio Lucibello, Jr. and his devoted mother, the late Mary (Panetta) Lucibello.

He graduated from Cliffside Park High School in 1975 and studied bass performance at the Berklee School of Music in 1979 through 1981. He was married in 1985 and raised a family in Aberdeen and Middletown, New Jersey. While Andy was a computer programmer for just about his entire work career, his passion always involved music. He played bass touring with R&B and funk bands in the early 1980's. His love of progressive rock, jazz and blues moved him to open one of the first franchised School of Rock music education programs in New Jersey in South Hackensack in 2005. He opened a second School of Rock in Somerville in 2012.

Andy was known for his unique sense of humor, he made people laugh with his funny comments, observations and silly faces. He was kind to others and accepted people for who they were, no matter their background or culture. Andy was talented in whatever he applied himself to, especially in cooking and gardening and he had a great respect and love for animals.

Andy is predeceased by his beloved younger sister Theresa Lucibello. He is survived by his 3 children: Teresa Lucibello and her husband Christopher DiPiazza; Andrew Lucibello and his wife Lindsay Lucibello; and Geena Lucibello. He is survived by his brother Anthony Lucibello and his wife, Sara Lucibello. He is survived by a grandchild Lucia DiPiazza and nieces, nephews and a grandniece. He is also survived by ex-spouse Nancy Lucibello.

A funeral mass to celebrate Andy will be held on Monday, September 20 at Our Lady Grace Church in Fairview, New Jersey at 9:30 a.m.
