Anita Evon McPherson was born on March 16, 1938, in Indianapolis, Indiana and passed away on September 16, 2025 in her hometown.
Her creativity flourished through her passion for poetry. Anita was known for her vibrant spirit and constant smile.
Throughout her life, Anita cherished her friendships, engaging in various “Girly Groups” and will be remembered for her sociable nature. She found joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will live on in their hearts.
Anita is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arthur McPherson, her parents, Alexander and Wanita Stiko, and her daughter, Terri McCord (Dennis).
She leaves behind her daughters, Dawn Toole (Kevin) and Michelle Wilbon (Jack), lots of family members and host of friends.
Visitation services in honor of Anita will be held on October 6, 2025, from 11:00am to 1:00 pm at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Shadeland 5215 North Shadeland Ave. Indianapolis, Indiana 46226
