Anita Wilburn

Anita Lyn Condit Wilburn, 83, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2023 following a battle with pulmonary hypertension. She was born in West Virginia on February 14, 1940. Anita Lyn's beautiful smile and poised demeanor touched students and parents during her 30 year career as an elementary educator with North Allegheny School District near Pittsburgh,Pennsylvania. Her patience and perseverance, as well as her extensive knowledge of children's' literature, hooked many of her students on a life long love of reading. Anita Lyn will be fondly remembered for her calm ability to put people at ease and find humor in difficult situations. She cared for both her parents, Juanita and Merlyn Condit, during their final illnesses, and they predeceased her, as did her ex-husband, Charles G. Wilburn. Her daughter, Melissa Lyn Wilburn of Columbus survives her as do cousins and extended family. A special thanks goes out to the ICU Red Team nurses, physicians and other staff at Riverside Methodist Hospital for their exemplary care of Anita Lyn, given with great attention for her comfort and dignity in her final days. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Visitation will at 12:00PM on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, with a prayer service to follow at 1:00PM at the Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085.
