Ann Withers Rollings Bock, 88, died at her home in Winchester Virginia at Shenandoah Valley Westminster Canterbury on November 20, 2025. She was born in Suffolk, Virginia to Dudley Newman Rollings and Anna Withers Rollings. Ann graduated in 1955 from Suffolk High School and from Hollins College (now University) in 1959.
Ann grew up in Riddicks Folly in Suffolk, Virginia. She was a third great granddaughter of Mills Riddick and Mary Taylor Riddick. At Christmas 1958, she met Karl Ford Bock of Pasco, Washington on a blind date. He was a handsome, young Ensign stationed aboard the USS Intrepid. They were married on December 26, 1959.
Ann accompanied Karl to duty stations on the West Coast, Panama, Madrid, London, and Washington, DC. They were the parents of two sons. Karl died in January 2005. In addition to her husband, Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Karl Frederick Bock (aka Karlo) and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Survivors include her son, Christopher Newman Bock (aka Chris), a sister, Mary Rollings Stevens (aka Rusty) and her husband, Kent Stevens, all of Winchester, Virginia; a special niece, Susan Stevens Magurn and her husband, Brian Magurn, the parents of her namesake, Elizabeth Ann Magurn.
A graveside service will be held at 11AM, Monday, December 1, 2025, in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk, Virginia followed by a reception at Riddicks Folly. R.W. Baker & Co. Downtown Suffolk Chapel is serving the family.
