Ann I. Boris, 1936 - 2025 Ann I. Boris passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025, at the Presbyterian Home in New Hartford, NY. Ann was born in Gaastmeer, Netherlands, on April 28, 1936, the daughter of Martin and Susie (Eckhof) Terpstra. In 1949, at the age of 13, she immigrated to Utica, NY, by way of Canada with her parents, sister, and two brothers. On September 12, 1959, Ann was united in marriage to William R. Boris, with whom she shared 65 years of loving marriage. Ann was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who found great joy in creating handmade gifts. She loved to sew, knit, and crochet-crafting everything from a jumper for her grandson to beautiful throws. Her hands were rarely still during the winter months, always busy with her latest project. In the summer, she found peace and happiness in her garden, tending to her vegetables and flowers with care and pride. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William and Michele Boris of New Hartford; her grandson, Matthew Boris; her son-in-law, Brian Harrnacker of Rome; her brother, John Terpstra of New Hartford; her sister-in-law, Joyce Terpstra of New Hartford; and her sister, Gail Lapier of Plattsburgh. She is also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Ann was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bill; her daughter, Susan Harrnacker; her parents; her brother, Charles Terpstra; her sisters-in-law, Joan Terpstra and Beatrice Terpstra; and her brother-in-law, Don Lapier. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at the New Hartford Presbyterian Home for their care and support during Ann's time there. In accordance with Ann's wishes, there will be no public services. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of Wolanin Funeral Home, 266 Main Street, New York Mills, NY
