She was born October 13, 1942, in Attica, Ohio, to Victor and Virginia Ayres. Ann earned a B.S. from Kent State University and an M.S. from Purdue University. On June 20, 1964, she married Louis Bushfield Jr., who preceded her in death in March 1997.

She enjoyed cross-stitch, crochet, bowling, and searching for hard-to-find treasures at any thrift store she could discover, and was an eBay seller for many years. She also loved Garfield, the color purple, and watching Star Trek and Agatha Christie movies on TV.
She is survived by her daughter Vanda (Anthony) Paladino, and their two children, Christopher and Aurora. She is also survived by her son Victor Bushfield and his wife, Dr. Christine Henry, and their children Serenity and Skylar.
