Paul Herman Claus, 83, of West Lafayette, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Nursing Home in Delphi, Indiana. He was born on November 6, 1942 at the family farm in Hanover Township, Indiana to the late Irvin and Ruby (Asche) Claus.
After graduating from high school, Paul enlisted in the United States Army Reserves where he served for six years. On September 13, 1969, Paul was married to Pamella Wentz, and she survives. One year after their marriage, Paul and Pam moved west. Stopping in Cody, Wyoming for an overnight stay, Paul was offered a job while attending the local Nazarene church. They stayed in Cody for 51 years. Paul worked for over 50 years in the HVAC industry, starting out working for others and later owning and operating his own HVAC installation and service company. Paul was well known for his kindness and willingness to help anyone in need whether through his work or personal life. Paul loved the Lord and was very active in his church. He and his family were long-time members of the Cody Nazarene Church and later attended the Lovell Bible Church in Lovell, Wyoming. Paul also loved the outdoors, spending time in the mountains surrounding Cody passing his love for hunting and fishing down to his two sons.
