Obituary of Ann R. Crowley
Ann Rita Crowley (nee Adams), 96, of Woodbury, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 15, 2022.
Legacy
Ann attended St. Rose of Lima Parochial School and graduated from Haddon Heights High School in 1944. In her senior year she went to work at Camden Trust Company in Camden, NJ. Ann married Jack Crowley on May 24, 1947. Jack and Ann resided in West Oak Lane, Philadelphia for three years and had two daughters, Kathy in 1948 and Sue in 1950. They moved into their first and only home in Woodbury, NJ in October 1950. Rita was born in June 1951 and 4 sons followed, Jack in 1953, Michael in 1959, Joseph in 1965, and Matthew in 1967. Ann was active in her new parish St. Patrick's and had children in St. Patrick's School for 28 consecutive years. All the children graduated from Gloucester Catholic High School. She watched countless little league games and later followed her grandchildren's football, soccer, field hockey, basketball, baseball and softball teams. She also attended numerous piano and dance recitals (making the costumes for the latter) and helped her boys through many Boy Scout projects. She liked to sew when her daughters were small, making matching dresses for all three. Ann also preferred to be outside "working" on her house and yard. After Jack retired in 1991, they enjoyed many camping trips in their small trailer. They especially liked the annual Halloween weekends in Pennsylvania when all the families would gather in their pop-ups or tents. Ann enjoyed being with her family more than anything else and loved to go on day trips with the "girls".
Family
She is the beloved wife of the late John J. Crowley, Sr. Devoted mom of Kathleen McBride, Susan Bowe (Tom), Rita Davis, Jack Crowley, Jr. (Eileen), Michael Crowley (Donna), Joseph Crowley, and Matthew Crowley. Adored Nana of 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Julia and John Adams and dear sister of Joseph, John, Raymond, William and Mae. She will be missed by many family and friends.
