Ann Haack Obituary

Haack, Ann

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ann Frielingsdorf Haack, aged 85, of St. Louis, Missouri, on December 2, 2025.

Ann was born in St. Louis on November 4, 1940, to John Bruce Frielingsdorf and Anita Ohlemeyer Frielingsdorf. After graduating from John Burroughs School, Ann attended first Denison University and then Washington University, where she met her future husband, William M. Haack. After their marriage, Ann and Bill briefly moved away from St. Louis and Ann graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in English. They later moved back to St. Louis a few years later and grew their family and life together in Kirkwood and Glendale.

Ann was a loving wife and mother who held her family closest to her heart. She was a constant and devoted presence in their lives. Ann was also a gifted creative spirit who found immense joy in a wide array of pursuits and was actively engaged in her community. She is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Bill; her sons, Steve (Christine), Jim (Kathleen), and John (Ann); her sister, Sally Frielingsdorf Nikolajevich; along with five cherished five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Anita Frielingsdorf, and her brother, Bill Frielingsdorf.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 18, at 1pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Kirkwood, with a reception to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Memory Home Care Solutions at memorycarehs.org, or however you may want to honor Ann.
