Ann Margaret Olson

Ann M. Olson
65, Appleton, WI, passed away on October 10, 2022, at her home. Ann was born on July 8, 1957, in Stevens Point, WI, the only child of Herold and Beverly (Vince) Olson. She graduated from Steven's Point Area High in 1975 and Western Wisconsin Technical Institute in La Crosse in 1977, with an Associate Degree in Data Processing. Ann was employed at Thrivent Financial (formerly Aid Association for Lutherans) for 28 years, ending in retirement on her 48th birthday in 2005. Following early retirement, she held various part-time jobs. She returned to Thrivent as an IT contractor from 2012-2021. Since then, she was really retired and puttered through life.
Ann was preceded in death by her mother in 1980, her father in 1995 and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Two aunts, one uncle and several cousins survive.
Ann was feisty, independent, and determined. She was an animal lover. She was complicated.
Per Ann's wishes there will be no services held. She will be cremated and buried next to her parents in Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery, Campia, WI. Please direct any memorials to a recipient that provides for the well-being of animals or nature.
