Ann Louise Reinsmith, 85, of Allentown, went home to the Lord on June 2, 2024. She was a resident of Cedarbrook Senior Care, South Whitehall Twp. She was the loving wife of the late Thomas D. Reinsmith. She worked at PPL, where she met husband, Tom.
She later worked at Hess's Department Store and Dun and Bradstreet. Her most rewarding life's work was caring for others. She was dedicated to raising her children and grandchildren. Family was of the utmost importance to her. She cherished time with her relatives and friends and later her own caregivers at Cedarbrook. She stayed connected by sending heartfelt cards and notes.
She had a light in her eyes, a sweet smile and kind words that made anyone happy to be with her. Amazingly, she remained positive and strong even as she dealt with major life and health challenges.
Ann Louise had a love for music. She sang everything from hymns to oldies and knew all the lyrics. She was a church choir member and played the clarinet and handbells. She volunteered at her church and with the Girl Scouts and served as an election official.
Born in Slatington, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Rhea (Kemp) Roeder. She was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ, Allentown.
Survivors: Brother: Bruce Roeder (Tona). Daughter: Kerri L. (Brian) Puskar; Sons: Gregg T. Reinsmith (Iolanda), Michael T. Reinsmith (RuthAnn) and Matthew S. Reinsmith (Rebecca). Grandchildren: Diana Cruceru (Justin); Samara Popiel (Dylan); Adam (Logan) and Erin Puskar; Adora, Harlan (Jaclyn), Jacob, Lukas and Nathan (Kelsey) Reinsmith. Seven great-grandchildren; niece, Aprille Roeder, and great-niece, Emily. She was predeceased by sister, Janet Roeder.
Ann Louise's family and caregivers will greatly miss her. On her behalf, her family wishes to thank everyone at Cedarbrook who cared so well for her.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Jordan U.C.C. 1837 Church Road Allentown, PA 18104. A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Church.
