Ann E. Shevlin passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025, at home.
She was born in Scranton, PA, on July 15, 1944, a daughter of Victoria and Wilbert Lopes-Schumaker.
On August 26, 1967, Ann was united in marriage to Robert L. Shevlin Sr. in St. Lucy's Church, Scranton, PA. They shared a blessed and happy union for 52 years until his passing in 2019.
Ann is survived by her three children: Alisa Shevlin-Moore of Utica, NY, Kristen Shevlin-Fritz of Branchburg, NJ, and Robert Shevlin Jr. of Rome, NY, as well as several cousins and relatives.
Words that have been used by close friends and family to describe Ann are honest, devoted, funny, loving, generous, passionate, and big-hearted.
Ann also had a strong affection for her grandchildren, Alexander Shevlin 20, Noah Moore 19, Milan Nueno 15, and Victoria Fritz 9, spoiling them with love and attention.
Ann was the class mom for many children throughout her husband, Robert's 33-year career as an elementary school teacher. She enjoyed cooking for them and loved giving them hugs when needed.
A special thank you to Misty Shevlin, Robert Jr.'s wife, and Maricar Rhodes, Kristen's partner, from the bottom of our hearts for all the care, love, and support you've shown to our mom during this difficult time. Your kindness and compassion mean the world to us, and we are so grateful to have you by her side.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ann's Memorial Mass on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Whitesboro, NY.
