Ann Elizabeth Taylor Likins Turner
If our mother's wish was granted, she was greeted in Heaven by her sister Mary and her amazing friends – Jonnie, Elaine, and Pat. We'll miss her positivity and her devotion to family and friends.
On February 1, 1922, Ann was born in Louisville, KY, to Hoyt Lemuel Taylor and Nancy Ellen Ford Taylor. She died October 2, 2025. She was predeceased by her parents; her daughter, Nancy Jefferson; her husband Clarence H. Likins, Jr., MD and her husband George L. Turner; her siblings, Juney, Mary, and Nancy Ellen; her stepson, George Turner; and step-grandson, Brent Turner.
She is survived by her daughters, Judy Babcock (Dennis) and Mary Ann Bohannon; stepsons, Jan Turner (Jenni) and Bob Turner (Ann); grandchildren, Kim Spenney (Mike), Chip Jefferson (Lisa), Christopher Babcock, Ford Babcock, Eric Bohannon (Jessica), Fred Holcombe (Wendy), Janelle Turner, Heather Compton (Rich), and Travis Turner; 14 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Ann graduated from the Atherton School for Girls and attended the University of Louisville where she was voted "Freshman Sweetheart" and met her future husband, Clancy Likins. She was a member of the Louisville Women's Club, Big Springs Country Club, the Pendennis Club in Louisville and the Port Royal Club and Moorings Country Club in Naples, Florida, where she lived for decades. In Louisville she was an active member of Highland Presbyterian Church and spent many afternoons with her sewing group and high school lunch group. She was an avid reader, tennis player, golfer, and boater.
There will be a small, private, family graveside service at Cave Hill Cemetery. Ann spent the last 14 years of her life as a resident of Treyton Oak Towers where she received excellent care. Hosparus Health kept her comfortable in the last months of her life.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate any donations made to the Employee Fund at Treyton Oak Towers, 211 W. Oak Street Louisville, KY 40203 or to Hosparus Health, 6200 Dutchmans Lane Louisville, KY 40205. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Ann, please visit our floral store.
