Ann Viegas

Ann Viegas, a resident of Saddle River, New Jersey passed peacefully on June 8, 2025, at her home. At the lovely age of 99. She was predeceased by her beloved husband John of forty-seven years.
Ann graduated Phi Beta Kappa from New York University at the age of nineteen with a degree in Business and Journalism and earned her MBA from NYU at the age of twenty-one. She was a member of the Bergenfield School system for thirty years. With her strong passion for education, she volunteered her time and tutored the less fortunate.
Ann was a longtime parishioner of St. Gabriel's Church in Saddle River, a member of the Saddle River Valley Club and member of the College Club of Northern New Jersey. She was an avid bridge player, an art enthusiast traveling throughout Europe and looked forward to her standing dinner reservations at Cafe Panache on Saturday night with her daughter, Diane, the table for two in the corner. She was part of "the greatest generation," and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her devoted daughter Diane (Vincent) and Lauren (Ed). Our heartfelt gratitude to her devoted caregiver, Carmita Castro for her many years of love, care and kindness.
For all who would like to attend, the Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 am, Wednesday, June 18 at Saint Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 88 East Saddle River Rd, Saddle River, NJ. Burial at Maryrest Cemetery will be private.
