Ann Marie Piglia Wetta, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, at the age of 90, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 25, 1934, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Raymond Patrick Wetta Sr.; her parents, John George Piglia Sr. and Viola Ellis Piglia; four brothers, John, Tommy, EJ, Jerry Piglia; and one sister, Claire Richards.

Ann is the beloved mother of Raymond Wetta Jr. (Suzanne), Robin Johnson (Dennis), Anthony Wetta (Debbie), Julie Keener (Jud Bermudez), and Andrea Main (Carlton); cherished grandmother of Richard Wetta, Matthew Wetta, Douglas Wetta, David Wetta, Jillian Marinovic, Blake Main, Jordan Keener, Gavin Main, Megan Wetta, Staci Porter, Alicia Johnson, Austin Main, and Michael Wetta; great-grandmother of Juliana Marinovic, Adaline Marinovic, Emerson Marinovic, Austin Wetta, Jolie Grace Wetta, Lydia Wetta, Theodora Marinovic, Cooper Porter, and Kieran Wetta; and adored sister of Larry Piglia and Pat Piglia. She is also survived by a host of extended family members and friends, all of whom she loved greatly.

Ann grew up in the Irish Channel and lived in Metairie, LA, for many years before retiring in Slidell, LA, with her beloved husband, Raymond. They enjoyed family get-togethers with music always playing in the background. Ann loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, the beach, Disney World, gardening, and decorating her backyard with bird houses, bird baths, and figurines. Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be deeply missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell. A Funeral Mass will begin in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Ann will be laid to rest in the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery at a private graveside service at a later date.
