Anna Biernat

Anna Chowaniak Biernat went to her forever home with her Savior, Jesus Christ on September 29, 2024 at the age of 95. Anna was a WW II survivor who overcame many obstacles to thrive in love for family, friends, and pets. It came naturally and she could not turn away from an opportunity to provide rescue, food, and shelter to stray animals.
Anna was a woman of integrity with a strong faith in God, not shaken by circumstances or hardships. She was loyal, hardworking, and someone you could count on. Anna received joy from the simple things in life, love of nature, animals, history, and family. She would bake homemade bread and give it to family, friends, and neighbors. She thought of others ahead of herself. In the weeks before passing she expressed concern for other's well-being. Her last words to family were "Take care of yourself".
Anna is survived by her two daughters Mary Ann (Lucio) Cruz and Barbara (Steven) Pauls, a grandson Jesse, great granddaughter Seraphina, brother Herbert Chowaniak, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph J. Biernat.
She will be greatly missed, but we know her eternity is secure and we rest on God's promises.
