Lt. Anna Marie Brown DeNure, Dispatcher 909, 39 of Woodbury "Booger Bottom", GA served her last call and passed Monday, January 13, 2025, at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA.
Anna was born September 23, 1985, in Warm Springs, GA, the daughter of Robert and Kelley Hefner Brown. She was a dispatcher at the Meriwether County 911 Center. She loved watching supernatural shows and Friends sitcom on TV. She was a member of the Beech Springs Baptist Church in Pine Mountain, GA. She was a diehard Georgia Bulldogs fan. She loved Georgia Bulldog game days and lots of family time. Her greatest love was being a mother to her beautiful girls. She was proud of the strong family unit that she had with "The Brown Clan". Her most favorite place in the world was "Booger Bottom" unless you were serving anything containing Chinese Food or Corn. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Jane Hefner and Leonard Hefner, great-grandparents Eleanor Kelley Lasseter, Nannie B. Brown and great uncle James Harvey "Jimmy" Lasseter.
Anna is survived by her husband Shannon DeNure, daughters Alyssa Marie Skow and Emma Lynn DeNure. Parents Kelley and Robert Brown all of Woodbury, GA, sister Cynthia Brown, and brother Alan Brown of Pine Mountain, grandparents, Bobby (Lillian) Brown and Bunny Brown, nephews Landon Braddy, Bryson Brown, Cody Funderburk, Kyle Funderburk, Cason Southern, Colson Collier, nieces Kaydence Brown, Kyrie Modlin, father-in-law Phillip DeNure, sisters-in-law Mellisa DeNure and Caty DeNure, and many other extended family members.
Funeral services for Anna DeNure will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Harmony Church of the Nazarene in Warm Springs with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, January 17, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home.
