Anna Rittenhouse Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Liming Family Funeral Home on Jun. 23, 2025.
Anna Rittenhouse, of Wilkinson, Indiana, the precious King Charles Cavalier of Steve and Jackie Rittenhouse, passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Anna was born on a farm in Quarryville, Pennsylvania. Steve and Jackie felt what Anna valued the most in her life was spending quality time with her family. According to Jackie, "She really loved sitting on the deck relaxing and enjoying our fires at night."
Steve and Jackie shared that what they loved the most about Anna was that she was the best outdoor dog; she loved soaking up the sun. Also, that she was so good with their four kids and always loved to give Jackie kisses-just on her feet only. Jackie also shared her favorite thing about Anna's appearance was the black color of her fur on her ears.
Anna was such a loving family dog. She was a laid-back, easygoing girl, but was also a guardian and protector of those she loved.
Jackie shared her favorite memory of Anna. Anna would lie beside her throughout all four of her pregnancies. She never left her side.
One of Anna's favorite things to do was to go on car rides with her family. Jackie relayed, "She loved car rides, and she would just lay there calmly. She just took her first very long trip from Pennsylvania to Indiana."
Jackie lovingly recalled that Anna was definitely not a diva girl. Anna hated getting a bath or even getting wet for that matter. She was laid back when it came to grooming her nails.
Her curly ears would so get tangled from time to time because of all of the curly hair she had. She was just naturally a pretty girl. Anna did enjoy chewing on her favorite treats, which were bully sticks.
Jackie recalled Anna's favorite way to play with the children was when they would blow bubbles. She loved jumping up and chasing the bubbles all around when they would blow them.
Jackie shared fond memories of the excitement the entire family had when her husband, Steve, would leave the house each morning for work. Anna would start to run around the house, and her fur sibling, Ruger, would join in, and they would chase one another; then the kids would start running too.
Steve and Jackie are absolutely heartbroken by the loss of their sweet girl. Anna left so many wonderful memories during her years as a member of the Rittenhouse family. She will be forever remembered.
In addition to Steve and Jackie, Anna will be sadly missed by her human siblings, Alex, Isaac, Isabel, and Josie, and her fur sibling, Ruger.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever In Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home, located in Shirley, Indiana. We are honored to serve the family of Anna Rittenhouse.
