Anna Mae Snyder

Anna Mae Griffith Snyder, age 76, of Honaker, Virginia passed away Sunday (December 7, 2025) at her home. Born April 1, 1949 in Swords Creek, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Robert "Bob" and Thelma Spencer Griffith. A lifelong resident of the area, she enjoyed playing games on her phone, watching scary movies, cooking and fishing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Kenneth Snyder; one daughter, Bobby Joe Snyder; and two sisters, Robin Moore and Ruth Hess.

Survivors include her children, Thelma Dye, Loretta Snyder and David, Joseph Snyder and Catherine, and Tonia Steffey and Jarrod; brothers, Herbert Griffith and Jean and Ralph Griffith and Felinda; sisters, Sandie Perrotti, Ruby Pursley and Randy, and Henryetta Griffith; grandchildren, Trista Ray and Robbie, Bobi Jean Hicks and John, Aaron Dye and Emily, Buddy Powers, Denelle Perkins, Sammy Byrd, Tommy Byrd and Malinda, Kennith Keith, Amber Dye and Luke Ratliff, Lauren Mason and Chris, and Madison Royal; great-grandchildren, Dalton Taylor, Gage Ray, Alex Perkins, Kaiden Hicks, Zaiden Hicks, Jimmy Power, Andrew Powers, Alaina Powers, Joseph Byrd, Jasper Byrd, Arcaidin Perkins, Jonathan Perkins, Brooklyn Sluss, Canaan Farmer, and Lennox Mason; her longtime companion, Jimmy Dean Honaker; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Jeff Kinder officiating. Interment will follow in the Hess Cemetery at Swords Creek, Virginia.

Pallbearers will be Buddie Powers, Aaron Dye, Joseph Snyder, Sammy Byrd, Tommy Byrd, and David Wingo.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Mason and Jarrod Steffey.

The family will receive friends after 6 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
