Anthony (Tony) Danczyk, 85, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Tony was born at home on July 15, 1938, the eldest of eleven children, the son of the late Felix and Regina (Dulak) Danczyk. He grew up on the family farm and attended the Liberty Bell school in the Town of Dewey. He graduated from PJ Jacobs High School in 1956.
He was employed by AT&T for 33 years, working throughout Wisconsin and in many states. After his retirement from AT&T, he worked for the Mosinee Telephone Company for a number of years.
Tony met the love of his life, Lorraine Toboyek, while they were both working in Milwaukee in 1960. They were married at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Peplin on May 26, 1962. They had three children: Kathy, Karen, and Greg.
Tony enjoyed traveling with his family and visited all 50 states and 25 countries. He was very skilled in doing home improvements and loved teaching the younger generations his skills.
Tony was the Town of Dewey Clerk for 30 years, and a member of Moose Lodge #1572. He was a member of St. Casimir's Catholic Church his entire life and volunteered to do their finances for many years. He was also an usher and Eucharistic Minister. In addition, he was a Third Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1170. Tony was very dedicated to his religion and set time aside daily for his prayers.
Tony also enjoyed volunteering for the Wisconsin/Nicaragua Partners where he traveled on five mission trips to Nicaragua; he also volunteered for many years at the EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh with the Telephone Pioneers.
Tony is survived by his wife, Lorraine, of nearly 62 years; his daughters, Kathy Danczyk and Karen (Frank) McLaughlin, and son, Greg (Jennifer) Danczyk; grandchildren, Sean and Kylie McLaughlin, and Justin and Jenna Danczyk; siblings, Frank (Danae) Danczyk, Al Danczyk, Jean (Dave) Francois, Pat (Leon Byrd) Roberts, Len (Alexandra Roberts) Danczyk, Dorothy (Mark) Rice, Rita (Bob) Weber, and Tom (Debby) Danczyk; sister-in-law Sandi Danczyk, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Betty and his brother Bob.

Lorraine and family. My heartfelt sincere condolences to the loss of Anthony. A lot of great memories of corresponding with Anthony and Lorraine about local politics and the knowledge that I gained which was valuable when I served on the Portage County Board of Supervisors from 1984 to 1988 and also formally on the Saint Casimir Parish Advisory Board . I always enjoyed corresponding with Anthony about the histories of the Town of Dewey and the northern portion of the Town of Hull both in Portage County and the Towns of Knowlton and Guenther in Marathon County. It was very interesting to learn the history of the Mosinee Telephone Company as well as when their home got moved to the current location when Highway 51 (now I-39,U.S.51) was expanded to a four lane facility in the early 1970s. Anthony had a true love of America. I always enjoyed working for Anthony when he had me do TV antenna work and some electrical work at their Town of Dewey home. Thanks for the memories! May God (Boze) rest his soul. I will remember him in my prayers. Phil J. Janowski, Town of Hull, Portage County, WI.
