Anthony Elsinger Obituary
Tony was born January 16, 1927 in Hartford, WI to Henora (nee Buerger) and Henry Elsinger. He attended Hartford Union High School and went on to serve our country in the United States Army. Tony also served our community as sergeant for the Washington County Sheriff's Department for 40 years.
Tony is survived by his children, Dennis "Mickie" (Debbie) Elsinger and Lori (Kevin) Koeberl and his grandchildren, Noelle, Melissa Mae Hetzel and Oryan Koerbel. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 70 years, Verla; parents-in-law, Solomon and Olga (nee Zimmerman) Gilligan; son, Anthony Jr. "Mouse"; infant daughter, Angel; and brother Jerray Elsinger.
Funeral services for Tony will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., at the Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union Street, Hartford, WI 5302, with Rev. James Schleif officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 p.m.-4:45 p.m.
Committal Service with military honors will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford, WI.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in honor of Tony to the Wisconsin Honor Flight Stars and Stripes, in care of his family, are sincerely appreciated.
