Anthony J Gydosh ObituaryAnthony J. Gydosh, age 85, of Richmond Heights, OH, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 16, 2025. Born on January 17, 1940, in Cleveland, OH, Anthony lived a life defined by devotion to family, service to his country, and a love of simple joys.
He was the beloved husband of the late Annette Gydosh (née Mallin), loving father of Kimberly Baxter, Kelly Baker, and Daniel Gydosh (Dr. Dilia López-Gydosh), and the adored grandfather of James Gydosh, Kyle (Carrie) Braun, Dr. Samantha Baker (Aaron Potter), Alexis Baker, Tyler (Rita) Baxter, Autumn Gydosh, Ryan Baxter, and Cameron Gydosh; proud great-grandfather of Caleb, Cole, Logan, Gianna, and Wyatt; and cherished brother of Dorothy Duminich. He was also a loving uncle and brother-in-law to many.
Anthony was preceded in death by his wife Annette, his son David Gydosh, his parents Paul and Elizabeth Gydosh (nee Levay), his son-in-law Ronald Baker, and his siblings Paul (Rose) Gydosh, Alfred (Pat) Gydosh, Mary (Fred) Kunc, Marge (Gene) Gerez, and Joseph (Barb) Gydosh.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, Anthony served his country from 1961–1965. Following his military service, he dedicated over 30 years to Ohio Bell/Ameritech before retiring. In his spare time, Anthony found joy in the outdoors, watching Westerns, and spending countless hours tinkering in his garage-always able to fix any "thing-a-ma-bob" or "do-hickey" that needed repair.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, located on the grounds of the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home.
Anthony will be remembered most for his quiet strength, loving heart, and the countless ways he touched the lives of those who knew and loved him.
