Anthony P. Romanowski

SHERBURNE: Anthony P. "Tony" Romanowski, 79 of Mordas Rd., passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024 at SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse. He was born May 10, 1945 in Trenton, NJ a son of the late Anthony C. and Josephine (Nartowitz) Romanowski. He graduated from Princeton High School, NJ, Somerset County Technical & Vocational School, Electronic Computer Programming Institute, Commercial Trades Institute and Empire State College. He served in the US Air Force as an Aerospace Ground Equipment Repair Technician.
On September 7, 1968 in St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen, NJ he married Jeanette Daniels.
He was employed at NBT Bank, Norwich in computer operations until his retirement.
He was a member of St. Malachy's Roman Catholic Church, Sherburne, a 3rd and 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus and the Sherburne American Legion Post #876.
Surviving is his wife Jeanette; children, Maria B. Romanowski, Jacqueline A. Ryan both of Sherburne, Anthony P. Romanowski, Jr., of North Brookfield, Jonathan P. and Karly C. Romanowski of Oxford, Theresa A.R. Bell of Roanoke, VA, Richard S. and Emily B. Romanowski of Sherburne; sister and brother-in-law, Josephine H. and Mark Nittolo, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Margaret M. Daniels & George Masabrook, Patricia A. and Raymond Testa, William P. and Leona O. Daniels and Randy Alshowarbi, thirteen grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Michelle A. Romanowski, son-in-law, James M. Bell, grandson, Jonathan L. Ryan, sisters and brothers-in-law, Antonia Philomena "Phyllis" and Lawrence J. Bergeron, Anastacia "Nancy" Guy and sister-in-law, Linda A. Alshowarbi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 11am from St. Malachy's Roman Catholic Church, 31 East State St., Sherburne, NY 13460.
Interment with Military Honors will be held in the spring at St. Malachy's Cemetery.
Friends are invited and may call on Wednesday from 4 to 7pm at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne, NY 13460. The Rosary will be recited at 3:45pm.
Donations in Tony's memory may be made to the St. Malachy's Community Food Pantry c/o St. Malachy's Roman Catholic Church.
