Anthony F. Scalzo, 35, of New Castle passed away the evening of July 13, 2025 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Anthony was born in New Castle on June 19, 1990. He is survived by his father, Michael R. Scalzo (Kristin) and his mother, Danell Stone DiGiammarino (Perry).
Anthony loved being with people and when he entered a room it lit up with his presence. He enjoyed painting, drawing and being at the beach. Anthony also loved animals and will be missed by his dog and cat, Brutus and Baby. A loving son, brother and grandson, Anthony will be missed by all of his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Anthony is survived by his brothers, Michael Scalzo (Courtney), his twin, David Scalzo (Tara), two sisters, Lauren Folino (Frank), Krysha Ferrence (Andrew), maternal grandparents, Frank and Marlene Stone, step-grandmother, Caroline DeAugustine and several nieces and nephews.
Anthony was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mike and Josephine Scalzo and maternal step-grandparents, Doris and Domenick DiGiammarino.
Honoring his wishes funeral services are private. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.
Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
