Karen Lee Hildebrand, 69, of Fairground Road in Hickory Township, died Monday, October 6, 2025, at Haven Convalescent Home in New Castle. She was born on September 11, 1956, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (Schweikert) Hardy. Karen married Mr. George L. Hildebrand on July 31, 2000, he survives at home. She worked at Golden Hil Nursing Home as a Ward Secretary, retiring after 35 years. She enjoyed crafting, baking, and cooking.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by two children, Timothy J. McConahy and Ashlee A. Maggie both of New Castle, four grandchildren, Laeila McConahy, Isabella Maggie, Aubrey Maggie, and Avery Maggie, one brother, Edward Hardy, and one sister, Denise Tritt.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Celeste Bowen.
There are no services scheduled at this time. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
