Anthony Shane Sexton, age 24, of Pineville, KY, gained his Heavenly wings on Monday, March 4, 2024. He was born on November 22, 1999, in Lexington, KY to the late Martha Jean “Jeannie” Shepherd and Anthony Todd Sexton.
Shane was a member of Old Ferndale Missionary Baptist Church, Pineville, KY. He is remembered as a loving person who cared for everyone he knew, especially two special “little sisters,” Ali and Raylynn Gray and special nephew, Henry Michael Shepherd.
In addition to his mother, Shane was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mable Shepherd; paternal grandmother, Annie Sexton; and uncle, Henry Lee “Tommy” Shepherd.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Lindsay (Wilcox) Sexton; father, Anthony Todd Sexton; brother, Shawn Shepherd; special sisters-in-law, Ali Gray and Raylynn Gray; grandfather, Alfred Shepherd; aunt, Barbara (Sam) Hall; mother-in-law, Suzanna (Billy) Gray; father-in-law, Kirby Wilcox; brother-in-law, Brandon (Lynn) Fuson; special nephew, Henry Michael Shepherd; and special friends, Jason and Jennifer Warner.
The family of Anthony Shane Sexton will receive friends on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY. Funeral services will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. with Reverend Ronnie Wynn and Reverend John Hall presiding. Music will be provided by Shirley Partin.
Family and friends will meet at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Cawood Funeral Home, Middlesboro, KY, to travel in procession to the Mausoleum at Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro, KY, where graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Kirby Wilcox, Brandon Fuson, Brad Fisher, Shawn Lovin, Sam Hall, Tommy Lee Shepherd, and Kevin Barnett.
