Tony passed away on Sunday, September 24,2023 at Brian's House at the age of 67 after a long courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born on December 15, 1955 to Chester Swenski and Lila (Brabank) Culver in Iron River, Michigan. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during Vietnam. Tony liked being outdoors, spending time with his family and friends, gardening and animals. He also enjoyed barbequing, boating, fishing, camping, archaeology and loved to cook. He was a computer whiz and could fix almost anything.
Tony is survived by his wife, Patricia (Bishop) Swenski; mother, Lila Culver; siblings, Lee Carlson, Chester (Judy) Swenski, Edward (Charlene) Swenski, MaryAnn (Jesse) Pietro, Nora (Thomas) Kneebone and Vernon (April) Carlson; many nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Betty Bishop; close nephew, Jon (Julie) Schmidt; special friends, Keith Perry and Ginger Marx and beloved pets, Lilly and Rosie. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Earl Bishop; two sister-in-law's, Katy Bishop and Barb Schmidt and special uncle, Owen Tuttle.
The family of Tony would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the Angels at Brian's House and McLaren Hospice.
In honoring the wishes of Tony, cremation has taken place and no services are being held at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to Brian's House, 664 W. Nebobish Rd. Essexville, MI 48732 or Shelter Angels, Inc., P.O. Box 264 Linwood, MI 48634 (nonprofit animal rescue).
