Anthony “Tony” Francis Malone, Jr., 72, of Naugatuck, beloved husband of Diana Vardon Malone, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 15, 2025. Anthony was born on October 15, 1952, in Waterbury, CT to the late Anthony F. and Madelyn Malone, Sr.
Tony graduated from Naugatuck High School, class of 1971. He was a member of the Naugatuck Volunteer Fire Department, the Naugatuck Volunteer Ambulance Corps, as well as the Naugatuck Fire Police. Tony was involved in his children’s activities as a Cub Scout leader and coach at Union City Little League.
In addition to his wife, Diana, Tony leaves behind his son, Sammy Acosta; grandchildren, Genisus, Sammy, Isabella, Alexis and Sabrina; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves his wife’s family, Steven (Judy) Vardon, Judy Berge, Susan Vardon and Rodney Vardon. He was predeceased by his daughter, Vanessa Sue Malone.
Arrangements – A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Beacon Falls Congregational Church, 69 Wolfe Avenue, Beacon Falls, CT. Burial will be held at St. James Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
