Antonia M. Chadwick, MD, 69 of Chambersburg, PA passed away Saturday January 13, 2024 in Chambersburg Hospital. Born April 30, 1954 in Annapolis, MD, she was the daughter of the late John E. Chadwick and Betty Chase Chadwick.
She was a graduate of St. Mary's High school, Annapolis with the Class of 1972, then went on to complete her undergraduate degree in Biology from Georgetown University. Dr. Chadwick completed and received her doctorate degree in Medicine from Georgetown University in 1980. She was board certified and specialized in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics throughout her 40 year career. Early in her career she worked in offices in Connecticut, North Dakota, Minnesota, Georgia, and Tennessee before making Chambersburg and Barton and Associates her home in 1996. A few years later she bought the practice, and ran it under the name Barton Medical Associates, until she retired in 2020. She was an avid gardener, devoted bird watcher, and she and her husband enjoyed traveling, touring historic sites, expensive mansions, and tandem bicycling.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Jeffrey P. Sarsfield, a brother, John E. Chadwick, II and his wife Kathy; two brothers-in-law Gregory R. Sarsfield and Gary B. Sarsfield; and four nephews, James E. Chadwick, Robert M. Chadwick, Patrick B. Sarsfield and Douglas R. Sarsfield; and several great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM Sunday, January 28, 2024 in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greener Pastures, 934 Social Island Rd, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
