April Shaffer, age 50, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025. She was born on February 7th, 1974 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Patricia and Basil Shaffer. To start her new chapter in life she moved to Wheeling, WV and then moved to Columbus, OH where she dedicated 14 years to the USPS and lived out the rest of her life. April was a very affectionate, dedicated, and hardworking woman who always put others needs before her own. She will be remembered all around for her compassionate natural giving spirit. She has many friends from work that became family to her. She leaves behind her daughters; Paris Shaffer, Donee' Slaughter, Donisha Franklin, Donito Franklin, Justice Gordon, 3 granddaughters; Rashell Latham, Milani Walker, and Milea Walker, 7 step grandchildren, and her husband; Donito Slaughter.
